News fresh from Miyano’s own blog a couple of days ago (I’m late with this as usual).
A fresh new single (his second), entitled 「…君へ」 which essentially means “to you”. From what I’ve heard of the official sample clip of the title track at Miyano’s official King Records site, it seems to be promising but I’ll [...]

It’s time for some indignant fangirling.
Naruto. I had my initial misgivings about this particular manga when I saw the obsessive purchases of kids at the neighbourhood Comix Connection. What on earth could possibly be so exciting about a bunch of ninja going at it?
I stand corrected of course. It was (and still is — except [...]

What is it about the ridiculous penchant of Naruto’s mangaka for killing off my favourite characters? I mean, first it’s Zabuza (I liked him… and of course there was the slight yaoi implication with Haku that I just could not ignore). Next, it was Sandaime. He was like a grandfather to me for crying out [...]

I’m honestly beginning to think that my love for shopping knows no bounds. I have a few expensive loves which, I obviously realise, cause my wallet to explode in abject misery. Here’s my ridiculous list:
Branded bags (e.g. Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Burburry, etc etc)
Gadgets (e.g. mobile phones, computers, cameras, peripherals, etc)
DVDs and CDs (some Japanese imports)
If [...]

Animal Festival Asia 2008 is the first of its kind in Singapore. Held at the Suntec Convention Centre, it promises to be an interesting event, according to Dark Mirage who attended the official press conference.
I think I’ll reserve judgement despite the fact I’ve yet to attend a single anime convention anywhere in this freaking globe. [...]

Plot Summary
Natsume Yuujinchou, a relatively new anime that has been running for approximately 3 weeks on Japan TV, is the story of a high school boy with a dark sinister secret. The boy in question, Natsume Takashi, can actually see 妖怪 (youkai or spirits). This would normally not be an issue if you could go [...]

It’s rare to find a dorama that I really really like, along the lines of Nodame Cantabile and Hanazakari no Kimitach e. The recently wrapped series, Zettai Kareshi 『絶対彼氏』 on Fuji TV, however, is one of them.
Tenjou Night at your service. The ad for Zettai Kareshi.
The story revolves around the wretched love-life of Izawa Riiko, [...]

Well, that was a short long weekend. And I still don’t have much time to blog. I suppose I was plying myself with the anime La Corda D’Oro while marking half-heartedly and really couldn’t be bothered to update. I’d complain about a lack of readership but who can quite possibly blame the readers for not prancing [...]

There is nothing I love more than my gorgeous shiny white mac, but I’ve been off it for more than a month (maybe even two, horrors!) since my hard drive failed some time ago. Obviously, I’ve been lazy or else I could’ve gotten it back within a week if I’d bothered to troop down to [...]

… was completely and utterly brilliant!
I watched In the Shadow of Beethoven by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, featuring conductor Claus Peter Flor, Zhang Manchin on the viola and Ma Yue on the clarinet.
While I thoroughly enjoyed Wagner’s Tannhauser: Overture and Bacchanale (Paris version) and Bruch’s Concerto for Clarinet and Viola in E minor, Op. 88, [...]
